This December marks the conclusion of Attorney Megan Wade’s tenure on Community Partners in Action’s Board of Directors. During the organization’s annual meeting, Community Partners in Action recognized Megan’s years of dedicated service.
Megan joined the Board in 2019 and assumed the role of Vice Chair in December 2022. Over the course of her six-year term, she witnessed firsthand the incredible work CPA does to support vulnerable communities.
Community Partners in Action, currently celebrating its 150th year, tirelessly advocates for thoughtful criminal justice reform. The organization works to improve the lives of individuals impacted by the penal system, helping to break cycles of poverty, trauma, violence, and incarceration.
In addition to Attorney Wade’s years of service to the Board, Connecticut Appellate Law Firm proudly sponsored CPA’s 150th Anniversary year.
Attorney Wade would have gladly continued her service on the Board if not for CPA’s bylaws, which limit Board service to a maximum of six years.
She is incredibly proud to have played a small role in advancing the organization’s mission and leaves CPA with a few heartfelt parting words:
“Thank you, CPA, for an extraordinary six years. And thank you for recognizing me at the 150th annual meeting yesterday. Beth’s words brought me to tears. I appreciate and admire you all more than I can express. Here’s to another 150 years of transformative work.”
